You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Tax, Legal and the wider business, as well as our outsourced finance teams in India and Poland and external auditors. It’s a varied role that combines core financial reporting and controls with more investigative audit work, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding the story behind the numbers and working across different teams to solve problems.

  • Assist with quarterly VAT returns, VAT queries and inspections, ensuring appropriate checks and reconciliations are completed.
  • Coordinate monthly balance sheet reconciliations across the business and maintain the Cadency reconciliation system.
  • Oversee Withholding Tax processes and support monthly and quarterly joint venture reporting and ONS submissions.
  • Support royalty audits from fieldwork through to resolution, coordinating information and documentation across auditors and internal teams.
  • Investigate audit claims through financial and royalty data analysis, reconciliations and variance analysis, helping to prepare clear, evidence-based responses.
  • Work closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, GFSS and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve audit and accounting queries.
  • Prepare audit schedules, analysis and budget forecasts, alongside supporting wider Central Finance projects as required.

Who you are

  • Previous audit experience gained within practice, industry or a commercial finance environment.
  • Experience supporting financial audits, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews. Experience within the music or entertainment industry would be beneficial.
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status, or working towards a relevant professional accounting qualification.
  • A degree or equivalent experience, ideally within Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Tax and the wider business.
  • A diligent and detail-focused approach to your work.
  • A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • A curious and investigative mindset, with the confidence to question data, identify inconsistencies and follow issues through to resolution.
