Senior Sourcing Executive

With more than 30 years of combined experience in the field of optoelectronics our OSI Optoelectronics (OSIO) division is a diversified manufacturer of standard and custom photodiodes and optical sensors for used in aerospace, defense, commercial and medical applications.

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will support sourcing activities, supplier management, new project bids, and cost reduction initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• To perform cost reduction, focusing on electronic components, etc working closely together with the component engineering team to achieve the KPIs set by the management (eg. the material cost reduction target).
• To source and quote electronic components to support new projects bidding.
• To be able to negotiate, perform cost analysis and select best supplier to meet the product requirement.
• To be responsible in managing the relationship with suppliers on all commercial issues.
• Management of system integrity for Sourcing data.
• Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
• It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
• At least a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the EMS or Electronic Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience in sourcing or procuring of electronic components with good negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge in electronic commodities (e.g., active, or passive electronic components).
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (as to liaise with our China counterparts) - will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• A good team player.
