At PhonePe, Design operates at the eye of the storm, collaborating with business, engineering, content, legal, and other teams to build systems that move fast and think long. We evolve our products through experimentation, shared learnings, and a high-trust culture of autonomy and feedback.

The team is made up of specialists in product design, UX writing, motion and illustration, and visual design. Each craft brings its own depth, but we design with shared context and common goals, and our work is all the better for it.

Share.Market asks us to make investing approachable for first-time users without compromising the depth expected by seasoned traders. Pincode challenges us to rethink hyperlocal commerce by designing for real-world frictions: kirana culture, fulfillment complexity, and trust-building.

Lead the creation of visually stunning and delightful interfaces, using design systems, UX writing and micro-interactions

Lead the creation of cohesive flows across complex features, and ensure cross-platform designs are technically sound and user-centric

Direct the team in an iterative design process, ensuring stakeholder alignment and incorporating divergent and convergent thinking

Partner with Product, Engineering, and other teams to define product priorities and shape roadmaps

Use research and data to inform design direction and validate design outcomes

Contribute to mentoring and guiding junior designers, elevating the design craft across the product

6+ years of experience in a product design role, preferably with some amount of demonstrated leadership responsibilities

A degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors or related fields or equivalent practical experience

A portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in leading design projects and creating visually appealing, user-centric products

A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

Proven ability in collaborating with tangential disciplines, with enough depth and breadth to guide designers

Proficiency with Figma and other design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, ProtoPie)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A deep understanding of how design translates into code, and how to create solutions that are both innovative and technically feasible

Bonus: Design experience in hyperlocal/ e-commerce
