Meaningful Work. Strong Financial Leadership. A Mission That Matters.

At Superior Van & Mobility, we believe our work is about more than vehicles and equipment. It's about helping people regain their independence, experience greater freedom, and improve their quality of life.

Every day, our team makes a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing mobility challenges. Behind that mission is a dedicated team of professionals working together to ensure our organization operates with integrity, efficiency, and financial strength.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Accounts Receivable Manager who takes ownership, enjoys solving complex problems, and understands the importance of building strong professional relationships while achieving results.

This is an opportunity to use your accounting expertise, communication skills, and commitment to excellence to support a multi-location organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

What You'll Do

As our Accounts Receivable Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing and actively managing accounts receivable and collections across our 18 locations. Reporting to the Controller, you'll work closely with branch teams, accounting personnel, government agencies, and third-party funding sources to resolve outstanding balances, improve cash collections, and ensure accurate financial records.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys taking initiative, following through, and finding solutions. In addition to leading our accounts receivable efforts, you'll provide regular support to our accounts payable team to help maintain efficient financial operations.

Lead Accounts Receivable & Collections

  • Manage daily accounts receivable and collection activities across corporate and branch locations.
  • Review outstanding receivables and prioritize collection efforts based on aging, dollar amount, payer type, and payment status.
  • Proactively communicate with customers, Veterans Affairs (VA) offices and facilities, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and other third-party funding sources to resolve outstanding invoices and payment delays.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with payer contacts while ensuring professional, consistent follow-up.
  • Partner with branch Office Administrators to obtain required authorizations, purchase orders, delivery records, and supporting documentation.
  • Research and resolve unpaid, partially paid, rejected, or disputed invoices.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies, unapplied payments, credits, and outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate collection records, payment commitments, correspondence, and follow-up activities.
  • Escalate significant collection concerns and unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Develop consistent collection procedures and identify opportunities to reduce recurring payment delays.

Analyze Receivables & Improve Cash Flow

  • Prepare regular accounts receivable aging and collection reports for the Controller.
  • Monitor past-due balances, expected payments, disputed invoices, and accounts requiring additional attention.
  • Analyze collection trends across locations and payer groups to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track key performance measures, including aged receivables, collections, and days outstanding.
  • Support month-end reconciliations and financial closing activities.
  • Identify potential collection risks and recommend practical solutions to improve cash flow.

Support Accounts Payable Operations

  • Provide regular, hands-on support to the accounts payable team as part of the normal work schedule.
  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, credits, and payments.
  • Respond professionally to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account balances.
  • Assist with check processing, ACH payments, and other approved payment methods.
  • Provide backup support during staff absences, high-volume periods, and other business needs.
  • Assist with AP reconciliations, month-end accounting, and related financial projects.

Strengthen Processes & Build Relationships

  • Collaborate with Office Administrators, General Managers, accounting personnel, and outside agencies to improve billing and collection processes.
  • Identify the underlying causes of delayed payments and develop solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Help establish consistent documentation and follow-up procedures across all locations.
  • Maintain organized financial records and protect confidential customer, vendor, and company information.
  • Utilize accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and electronic payment portals to support efficient operations.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
