WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Business Development Executive will be primarily focused on supporting the commercial teams within Pottermore Publishing, spanning Business Development and Account Management, helping them to stay organised, aligned and well-informed as they deliver strategic commercial goals. The role is a central coordination point for commercial and business development activity, helping to maintain visibility of opportunity pipelines, project actions, timelines, dependencies, owners and status updates.

Responsibilities will evolve with business priorities, but will have a strong focus on coordinating commercial workstreams, preparing internal updates and briefing materials, supporting meeting administration and action follow-up, liaising across Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product and Operations, and undertaking light market, partner or competitor research where required.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Acting as a central coordination point for business development projects (at internal Stage Gates 0-2), helping to track actions, timelines, dependencies and owners so that workstreams continue to move forward through approval and contract stage on time and to budget.

Maintaining project trackers, status updates and shared working documents, ensuring information is accurate, easy to access and kept up-to-date.

Supporting the preparation of internal commercial updates by gathering inputs from Business Development, Account Management and Finance colleagues and ensuring key information is clear, accurate and timely.

Assisting with briefing notes and meeting preparation for partner or internal commercial discussions, including collating relevant background information, previous actions and supporting documents.

Where required, coordinating cross-functional input from Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product Development, Production and Publishing Operations to support the progression of commercial opportunities.
