TTP is an employee-owned technology and product development consultancy, with a 40-year track record of helping ambitious clients solve complex technical challenges and bring innovative, commercially successful solutions to market.
We invent, design, and manufacture impactful products and technologies across a wide range of industries – including healthcare, life science, energy, and communications – and at the intersection of biology, physical science and engineering.
Our working culture encourages entrepreneurship, shared ideas and technical collaboration, while providing you with the freedom to do your best work.
At TTP, we’re driven by a mission to transform the future of life science through technological innovation. Our Advanced Therapies team works with groundbreaking cell and gene therapy companies, helping therapy developers overcome complex manufacturing challenges as they scale. We’re now looking for a Global Business Development Lead to help us grow this exciting area of the business.
Our position builds on over 20 years experience in developing breakthrough products and technologies for the Life Sciences sector. The Advanced Therapies team focuses on the technical bottlenecks that prevent cell and gene therapies from meeting cost, quality and throughput benchmarks. Our work involves engaging with clients to identify critical bottlenecks, then developing, building and deploying purpose-built technologies that integrate into their GMP manufacturing processes.
This is a highly strategic role, with ownership of the business development plan for developing commercial relationships with senior decision-makers across the global therapies market. You’ll build and maintain relationships with both newly identified prospects and existing clients, using your deep industry knowledge to discover opportunities, promote our innovative offerings and drive lead generation through to sales.
Based at our Cambridge campus, you’ll work closely with world-class engineers and scientists, building a deep understanding of our offering and technical capabilities you’re taking to market. You’ll collaborate with the wider team to develop targeted campaigns, materials and market insights that support our business development efforts.
We’re looking for an experienced business developer who is intellectually curious, collaborative and always eager to explore new perspectives. You’re a strategically focused BD-oriented consultant who can qualify opportunities quickly and has an agile commercial mindset.
The complexity of our project work means an excellent academic record with a minimum 2.1 degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline is required.
In-depth knowledge related to specifying Advanced Therapies manufacturing processes and equipment, pharmaceutical process development, and/or GMP process qualification.
Demonstrable ability to build and nurture industry networks and establishing strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers.
An entrepreneurial approach to identifying unmet client needs and translating TTP’s technical capability into commercial success for the client.
Strong awareness of current/ongoing industry trends in therapy development, as well as cell & gene technology development and manufacturing.
Track record of winning technical programmes, with evidence of opening new markets, developing new client relationships and creating opportunities through evolving market and client positioning.
A strong understanding of research and development and the commercialisation of biotechnologies and pharmaceutical products.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to travel extensively, internationally.
