For every child, the right to hope UNICEF's Individual Giving (IG) programme plays a critical role in generating sustainable and flexible income that enables the organization to deliver for children worldwide. Through the acquisition, engagement, retention, and stewardship of individual supporters, the programme seeks to build long-term relationships with donors while maximizing lifetime value and enhancing supporter experience across multiple channels.

As digital fundraising continues to evolve, the volume of supporter data, interaction points, and content requirements has increased significantly. To remain effective and donor-centric, UNICEF is exploring innovative technologies that can support decision-making, improve operational efficiency, strengthen donor engagement, and enable more personalized supporter journeys. Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents significant opportunities across the Individual Giving ecosystem.

Potential applications include advanced donor analytics and segmentation, predictive modelling for acquisition and retention, content generation and optimization, supporter service enhancement, knowledge management, campaign performance analysis, and automation of repetitive business processes. At the same time, UNICEF is committed to ensuring that all AI-related initiatives are aligned with organizational principles on ethics, privacy, data protection, transparency, and responsible use of emerging technologies.

To support the ongoing development and usage of AI-driven solutions within Individual Giving, UNICEF seeks an AI Intern who will contribute to identifying, testing, documenting, and scaling practical AI use cases that enhance fundraising performance and operational effectiveness.
