Vera Bradley Retail & E-commerce

Senior Graphic Designer

New York City, NY In person Full-time

Location: New York Office - New York, NY

Vera Bradley is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to help deliver culturally relevant, performance-driven work across Brand, Outlet, Wholesale, and the end-to-end customer journey. The role calls for strong technical skills and strong storytelling skills, translating culturally resonant trends into creative that drives engagement, customer acquisition, and measurable business impact.

Vera Bradley has always been about making the practical feel personal and joyful. That idea has shaped four decades of signature patterns, and it is still the heart of the brand. We are building a design team to carry that legacy forward, and the Senior Graphic Designer will set the standard for craft on that team.

The team sits within Marketing and reports to our Creative Content Director. You will work closely with brand marketing, social, digital, and merchandising, along with colleagues across the wider marketing organization. As the senior designer, you will partner closely with the Creative Content Director on concept and direction, and your work will set the standard for craft.

This is a role for a versatile designer who can bridge a heritage brand with a modern, contemporary lens while still resonating with a multigenerational customer. You will own the team's design systems, mentor our Graphic Designer, and present the work to senior leadership. You will also be expected to show how the work translates into business impact: engagement, acquisition, and results the wider marketing organization can see.

Your scope spans digital, print, email, and social, from seasonal campaigns and lookbooks to day-to-day content.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Creative Content Director to develop major campaigns and seasonal stories, then own the design all the way to production-ready files
  • Help define where the Vera Bradley visual identity goes next, including how the archive shows up in new work
  • Collaborate with social, digital, email, copy, merchandising, and brand marketing to turn campaign ideas into work made for each channel and platform
  • Own the team's design systems and templates in Figma, and evolve them so we can move quickly and keep quality high
  • Storyboard and edit short-form video and motion pieces so campaigns can live beyond their first format
  • Art direct photo and video shoots alongside the Creative Content Director, from mood board and shot list through on-set direction and final selects
  • Brief and direct freelance and agency partners, including photographers, and hold their work to the brand standard
  • Use AI tools openly and with judgment for concepting and asset variation, and help write the team's guidelines for AI where our patterns and brand IP are involved
  • Present design to senior leadership across marketing and merchandising, making a clear, confident case for the work and for the results it is meant to drive
  • Mentor the Graphic Designer day to day
