WSP Construction

Associate - Digital Delivery - T&I

Bengaluru, India In person Full-time

WSP are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Digital Delivery Lead to drive digital transformation, BIM excellence, automation initiatives, and digital project delivery across our Transport & Infrastructure business.

The Infrastructure Digital Delivery Lead is the strategic technology architect responsible for the comprehensive digital lifecycle of our major infrastructure, utility corridors, bridges, and infrastructure master plans. Operating across the entire delivery continuum from conceptual design to asset handover this role unifies BIM, Geospatial Intelligence (GIS), Real-time Digital Twins, Legacy CAD standardizations, High-End 3D Visualizations, and AI-driven workflow automations.

You will not just manage models; you will design the overarching data infrastructure that connects engineering design to operational asset management, ensuring absolute data integrity, efficiency, and future-proof project delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Digital Strategy, Frameworks & BIM Governance

Author, maintain, and enforce the overarching Digital Delivery Execution Plan (DDEP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in strict compliance with ISO 19650 standards.

Establish, structure, and administer the Common Data Environment (CDE) using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, setting up automated review workflows, ISO container compliance, and multi-firm security access permissions.

Govern project coordinate systems, ensuring zero spatial or coordinate drift across linear highway alignments, utility networks, structural bridges, and global GIS maps.

  • GIS & Digital Twin Integration

Architect the bidirectional data pipelines connecting GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS / QGIS) with horizontal engineering design software (Civil 3D / OpenRoads).

Build the schema maps and asset metadata frameworks required to translate 3D BIM data into operational Digital Twin environments (e.g., Autodesk Tandem, Bentley iTwin, or custom web-based twin environments).

Define asset tracking protocols to integrate future IoT sensor data metadata placeholders within the smart-city asset master list during the design phase.

  • CAD Legacy & Hybrid Workflows

Maintain strict quality control over traditional, two-dimensional deliverables by enforcing uniform CAD standards (layer structures, plot styles, sheet sets) alongside 3D environments.

Manage hybrid workflows ensuring that legacy 2D drawings dynamically update from the core 3D federated model, minimizing manual drafting errors.

  • 3D Visualization & Reality Capture

Manage large-scale visual aggregation models within Autodesk InfraWorks, Twinmotion, or Unreal Engine to produce high-end, real-time interactive models for public consultation and executive stakeholder reviews.

Oversite the integration of Reality Capture datasets (UAV Photogrammetry, LiDAR point clouds, mobile scanning) into active design environments for real-time site verification.

  • AI Tools, Scripting & Automations

Develop, scale, and deploy custom automations using Dynamo for Civil 3D/Revit, Python, or VBA to eliminate repetitive drafting tasks, automate grading calculations, and auto-populate asset metadata fields.

Implement AI-driven design tools and generative design algorithms for optimizing massive earthworks volumes, alternative highway corridor alignments, and automated clash resolution pipelines.

Utilize AI text and data analytics tools to run predictive automated audits on thousands of model parameters, catching quality drops instantly.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Management, Digital Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's Degree would be advantageous
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience.
  • Proven experience leading digital delivery on large-scale transport and infrastructure projects.

Smart Infrastructure Projects

  • Demonstrated success in implementing BIM and digital transformation strategies within engineering consultancies.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary digital delivery teams.
  • Experience working in the UAE and/or wider Middle East strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.

Technical Proficiencies

  • BIM / Civil Design: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (corridors, pipes, gradings), InfraWorks, and Revit (structures/bridges).
  • Geospatial (GIS): Expert capability in Esri ArcGIS (Pro / Online) and its native integrations with the Autodesk ecosystem.
  • Digital Twin & Visualization: Practical understanding of Digital Twin schemas (Asset Information Models) and real-time rendering environments (InfraWorks, Enscape, Twinmotion).
  • Automation & Coding: Proficient with Dynamo, Python, or visual programming tools. Experience with AI prompt engineering or AI plugins for design optimization is highly valued.
  • Collaboration & CAD: Mastery of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) alongside classic AutoCAD Architecture/Civil workflows.
