5 Glassdoor Job Alert Alternatives (2026)

Glassdoor alerts are infrequent and lagged. Five alternatives ranked by speed: career page monitors hit minutes, RSS hit hours, and 3 more. Tested 30 days.

Glassdoor job alerts work, but Glassdoor is better known for reviews, salaries and interview questions than for finding a new listing first. If you searched for Glassdoor job alerts because you want to hear about roles sooner, or want to stop reading alerts and start getting applications sent, these seven alternatives do that job better. As an alert tool, Glassdoor underperforms: its notifications are slow (24-72 hours), they come by email only, its listing database is smaller than Indeed's or LinkedIn's, and its job search often feels like an afterthought next to the review database. Keep Glassdoor for research; use one of these for the alerts.

Short answer: Scoutify's Sniper applies to new matching jobs for you, minutes after they post on company career pages. Scoutify Alerts ($5/week) does the alert part only. LinkedIn and Indeed give free alerts with more listings.

What Glassdoor is still good for

Glassdoor's company reviews, salary data and interview questions are hard to replace, and none of the tools below try to. The gap is on the alert side: its job listings come through the board, so an alert reaches you after the employer has posted and the listing has been picked up, and you still apply by hand. Our Glassdoor alternatives guide covers the research side.

Glassdoor tries to be both a research platform and a job search platform, and the job search side suffers. Its alert limitations include:

  • Slow delivery. Email alerts arrive 24-72 hours after the original career page posting, which is comparable to LinkedIn and slower than Indeed in many cases.
  • A smaller listing database. Glassdoor's job inventory has gaps compared to Indeed and LinkedIn, even though it shares a parent company with Indeed.
  • Email only. Glassdoor sends no push notifications for new job matches, so you rely on checking your inbox.
  • A gated experience. Some features require an account and periodic content contributions.
  • Indeed overlap. Both platforms are owned by Recruit Holdings and share backend infrastructure, so you often see the same listings on both.

1. Scoutify Sniper

Best for: applying, not just being told

Scoutify watches 70,000+ company career pages directly. Sniper applies to new jobs that match your role, location and visa filters, usually within minutes of posting, on supported career sites (Greenhouse, Workday and SmartRecruiters today). Replies land in Scoutify Mail. The first 25 applications are free; then $25/week for up to 500. See how it works.

2. Scoutify Alerts

Best for: fast push alerts, apply yourself

Alerts ($5/week) sends push notifications to iOS, Android, macOS and Windows for new matching jobs from company career pages. Browsing the Scoutify board is free with no account.

Alerts typically arrive 5-15 minutes after a career page posting, which is the biggest speed upgrade available over Glassdoor's 24-72 hour email alerts. Where Glassdoor waits for listings to flow through its aggregation pipeline, Scoutify detects jobs at the source. You set your role type, experience level, location and target companies, and every notification links directly to the company's application page. Scoutify does not offer company reviews or salary data, so the strongest workflow is to get alerted fast, then check Glassdoor reviews and salary data before deciding whether to apply.

3. LinkedIn

Best for: free alerts plus recruiters

LinkedIn job alerts are free and cover every industry. You also get recruiter visibility and networking, which alert-only tools cannot offer.

LinkedIn's alert speed (24-72 hours) is comparable to Glassdoor's, so it is not a speed upgrade. What it offers instead is the ability to see who you know at each company, connect with hiring managers and receive inbound recruiter messages. For job seekers whose strategy depends on referrals, that is a meaningful advantage over Glassdoor's anonymous application process. Its job database is also significantly larger than Glassdoor's, with stronger coverage across industries and geographies, and Easy Apply reduces friction on many listings. The trade-off is sponsored posts and social notification clutter that can bury important job alerts. Premium Career costs $29.99/month.

4. Indeed

Best for: the widest listing pool

Indeed has the most listings and free email and app alerts. Expect some agency and duplicate postings.

Indeed and Glassdoor share a parent company (Recruit Holdings) and some backend infrastructure, but Indeed's aggregation is significantly more comprehensive. It pulls from more sources, covers more industries and generally indexes listings faster. If you see a job on Glassdoor, it almost certainly appeared on Indeed first or at the same time. Indeed's alerts typically arrive 12-48 hours after posting, which is moderately faster than Glassdoor's. The main upgrade is volume, especially for non-tech roles, hourly positions and smaller employers.

5. HiringCafe

Best for: free search with deep filters

HiringCafe pulls jobs from employer sites and filters by salary, experience and company stage. Search and saved searches are free. It does not apply for you.

6. Wellfound

Best for: startup jobs with salary and equity upfront

Wellfound (formerly AngelList Talent) is the established platform for startup job seekers. Its listings routinely include salary ranges and equity, and unlike Glassdoor's employee-submitted data, those numbers come directly from the employer's posting. Many early-stage startups have few or no Glassdoor reviews, and Wellfound fills that gap with founding team details, company stage and funding data. Alerts come as periodic email digests, and coverage is limited to early-to-mid-stage startups, so it will not help if you target large enterprises. It is free for candidates.

7. Welcome to the Jungle (formerly Otta)

Best for: curated matches with no ghost jobs

Welcome to the Jungle, which absorbed Otta, takes a curated approach. After you complete a detailed profile covering role preferences, company stage, compensation expectations and work values, it delivers a personalized batch of matched roles each day. Companies pay to be on the platform, which cuts out ghost jobs and low-quality postings. Its company profiles cover team size, funding stage, tech stack and values, which gives useful context for startups that have no Glassdoor reviews. Matches arrive in daily batches rather than in real time, and it is strongest for venture-backed tech companies in the UK and US. It is free for candidates.

Which one to pick

Use Glassdoor to decide where to apply and what to ask for. Use Sniper if the slow part is applying, Alerts if you want to apply yourself but hear first, and LinkedIn or Indeed as free backups.

  • If you need faster alerts above all else, use Scoutify. Moving from 24-72 hour email alerts to push notifications within minutes is a transformative upgrade for competitive job searches.
  • If networking and referrals drive your strategy, use LinkedIn. Its professional network gives you advantages that pure alert tools cannot replicate.
  • If you want the widest possible net, use Indeed. For listing volume across all industries, its aggregation scale is unmatched.
  • If you care about startup equity details, use Wellfound. Employer-provided compensation data is more reliable than Glassdoor's self-reported figures for startup roles.
  • If you want curated quality over quantity, use Welcome to the Jungle. Verified listings and algorithmic matching reduce noise and surface relevant roles.

Keep Glassdoor for research, replace it for alerts

The smartest approach is not to replace Glassdoor entirely but to split its role in your workflow. Keep using it for what no other platform does as well: company reviews, salary benchmarking and interview preparation. For discovery, move to dedicated tools. Scoutify handles real-time career page monitoring, LinkedIn handles networking and recruiter access, and Indeed or Welcome to the Jungle handles broad or curated discovery. Glassdoor becomes your research step between discovering a job and deciding to apply.

This unbundled approach, with each tool used for its specific strength, outperforms relying on any single platform for the whole search. Glassdoor's alert system is a side feature, not its core product, so treat it that way.
