Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access. We are seeking a Sr. Marketing Measurement Manager to own how Amazon Leo measures marketing. This role owns the measurement plan itself and holds it across global marketing, segment marketing, data science, data engineering, and our agency partners. You will own the measurement and reporting roadmap, the attribution and experimentation agenda, brand tracking, and the voice of customer program management, across consumer, business, and government segments. This is a high-impact role requiring both strategic ownership and hands-on technical depth. Measurement capability at Amazon Leo is in development. You will decide what gets built and in what order, write the requirements that partner teams build to, and arbitrate between competing requests when capacity is the constraint. Key job responsibilities
- Own the measurement and learning roadmap — what the business needs to know, in what priority, and by when — sequenced against launch and segment milestones, and run the mechanisms that keep marketing, data, and agency partners on one plan.
- Translate business questions into measurement requirements that partner teams build to, and arbitrate between competing requests when capacity is the constraint.
- Own the attribution and marketing mix modeling roadmaps. Partner with data science and data engineering on building the capability, and own how the results are interpreted, published, and adopted.
- Own the experimentation agenda — what the business needs to learn and the decision each test has to answer. Economics and data science own experimental design and statistical analysis.
- Own the brand tracking program and program manage the voice of customer program end to end, across consumer, business, and government segments, partnering with research on survey design.
- Own the reporting agenda — the metrics leadership sees in weekly and monthly business reviews, the executive scorecard, and the requirements behind every dashboard, working with intelligence engineering to build them.
- Drive alignment on metric definitions, taxonomy, and data governance across segments and regions, and own the data requirements measurement depends on — tagging, taxonomy conformance, clickstream coverage, and quality gates. Data engineering and marketing technology own the implementation.
- Own the measurement tooling roadmap and vendor evaluation, including the recommendation to keep, replace, or retire. *** Export Control Requirement *** Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team The Amazon Leo Marketing team is responsible for building a world-class brand and driving global demand for a transformational connectivity service. The Marketing Technology & Operations team builds the systems, data flows, measurement, and insights that support a multi-segment global business. We operate with the agility of a startup inside Amazon, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Science, and global marketing teams to ensure our decisions are grounded in high-quality data. - 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - Experience with attribution methodology and marketing experimentation — enough depth to write requirements, judge a method's limits, and interpret results, without owning the modeling. - Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements. - Experience defining requirements for, and delivering through, data engineering and data science partner teams. - Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs. - Experience communicating measurement results and recommendations to senior leadership. - Experience measuring marketing across more than one segment — consumer, business, or public sector — with a distinct approach for each. - Experience standing up marketing measurement for a pre-launch or newly launched business, rather than operating measurement that already exists. - Experience commissioning and interpreting marketing mix modeling and geo or market-level incrementality tests, including communicating the tradeoff between clean measurement and forgone revenue. - Experience running a brand tracking program with an external research vendor. - Experience managing a voice of customer or survey program across multiple owning teams. - Experience with marketing and data platforms — web analytics, customer data platforms, marketing automation, campaign platforms, and a cloud data warehouse. - Experience in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription services. - Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
