As a Software Development Manager in Multi-Channel Sourcing, you will lead Supplier Intelligence. Every sourcing decision starts with the same question: which products can we source, from which suppliers, and what can those suppliers actually do? We don't have a good answer today. What we know about a supplier lives in many systems, goes stale and is hard to find, so teams make decisions on data they can't trust and suppliers keep giving us the same information.
Your team owns the answer. You will build Supplier Profile, the one place we go to learn who a supplier is and what it can make, ship and commit to. You will also own Opportunity Discovery, which decides which products and suppliers, in which marketplaces, are in scope for sourcing in any channel (and records why the rest are out). A sourcing decision needs both, and today they are built separately, so bringing them together is part of the job.
How complete and accurate this data is sets the limit on the savings and selection sourcing can deliver, and planning, transportation and buying teams depend on it too. This role requires a leader who can bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, turn fragmented supplier data into a source of truth other teams build on, align diverse stakeholders across vendor management, buying and science, and translate technical trade-offs into durable, scalable solutions with measurable business impact.
Because the team's long-term scope is still taking shape, you will play a direct role in defining where it goes next, making this an ideal opportunity for a leader who thrives on setting direction rather than inheriting it. Key job responsibilities 1. Own the Supplier Profile and Opportunity Discovery roadmap, and represent it in operational planning (OP). 2. Build Supplier Profile. Decide what it owns versus reads elsewhere, design its APIs, and migrate existing users safely. 3.
Run Opportunity Discovery in production, keeping the in-scope list correct and explainable across channels and marketplaces. 4. Connect the two, so what we learn about suppliers shapes which opportunities we pursue. 5. Measure data coverage, freshness and accuracy, and fix gaps before downstream teams feel them. 6. Agree data needs and ownership with cross-functional stakeholders in Vendor Management, Buying, Science, Transportation etc. 7.
