We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Senior Disclosure Compliance Specialist, you’ll play an important role in helping Australian Retirement Trust meet its disclosure obligations and deliver clear, compliant communications for our members.
Working in a line 1 capacity, you’ll apply your expertise and judgement to complex disclosure reviews, provide practical advice to stakeholders and support our enterprise Document Due Diligence Program. You’ll also get involved early in new initiatives and collateral, helping teams build compliance into their approach from the start.
This is an opportunity to influence how we manage disclosure compliance across the Fund, identify opportunities to strengthen controls and processes, and help build capability through guidance, coaching and training.
This role is a permanent opportunity and can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne.
Day to day, you'll
- Review complex collateral and disclosure matters, providing clear, practical and actionable compliance advice.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting compliance obligations and help translate changes into practical business requirements.
- Provide guidance and act as an escalation point for complex or higher-risk disclosure compliance matters.
- Partner with stakeholders on new initiatives and collateral to embed a compliant-by-design approach.
- Lead quality assurance reviews, identifying trends, emerging risks and development opportunities.
- Help strengthen the Document Due Diligence Program through process improvements, control uplift and governance enhancements.
- Support the technical capability, onboarding and coaching of colleagues within the Disclosure Compliance team.
- Develop and deliver training that builds regulatory awareness and disclosure compliance capability across the Fund.
- Develop and maintain compliance guidelines, templates, approval processes, registers and tracking systems.
- Assess compliance risks associated with key initiatives, marketing activities and disclosure processes.
- Support internal and external audits relating to disclosure and marketing compliance.
- It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Business or another relevant discipline.
- Your background includes significant experience in compliance, legal or a related discipline within financial services or superannuation.
- You'll bring strong working knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, Corporations Regulations 2001 and relevant ASIC Regulatory Guides.
- You're familiar with regulatory guidance and expectations from bodies such as ASIC, APRA, OAIC and ACMA.
- You have experience reviewing marketing collateral, confirmation of transactions, periodic statements and other disclosure documents within financial services.
- You are familiar with evolving digital marketing landscape including artificial intelligence, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), digital distribution channels and automation.
- Your stakeholder skills enable you to build trusted relationships, influence decisions and constructively challenge at senior levels.
- You'll bring strong attention to detail and the confidence to exercise sound judgement when navigating complex compliance matters.
- You're comfortable working through change and bringing new ideas and perspectives to improve how things are done.
- You have a genuine commitment to learning and continuing to build your technical and regulatory expertise.
