Business Analyst - Tech Background

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Professionals’ Product & Tech Team is looking for a proactive and analytical Business
• Analyst to join our growing technology team.
• The ideal candidate
• will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping
• translate business requirements into clear, actionable technology solutions.
• This role is ideal for

• processes, communicates clearly, and enjoys solving business problems through
• structured thinking and data-driven analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand business

objectives, processes, challenges, and requirements.

• Gather, analyze,

document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.

• Conduct stakeholder

discussions and requirement-gathering sessions.

• Translate business

requirements into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional

Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Work closely with

developers, QA engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders throughout

the project lifecycle.

• Analyze existing

business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for

improvement.

• Create process

flows, wireframes, user journeys, and functional specifications where required.

• Assist development

teams in clarifying functional requirements and resolving requirement-related

issues.

• Coordinate with QA

teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements.

• Support User

Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenarios, validation, and defect

clarification.

• Perform data

analysis to identify trends, patterns, inconsistencies, and business insights.

• Prepare reports,

dashboards, presentations, and requirement documentation for stakeholders.

• Track requirements,

changes, dependencies, and project deliverables.

• Identify risks,

dependencies, and potential requirement gaps at an early stage.

• Participate in

Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint

reviews, and retrospectives.

• Continuously improve

business processes and contribute to technology-driven business solutions.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

Business Analysis Skills

• Strong requirement

gathering and documentation skills.

• Good understanding

of SDLC and software development processes.

• Understanding of

Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Ability to convert

business requirements into functional requirements and user stories.

• Knowledge of process

mapping and workflow analysis.

• Understanding of UAT

and software testing processes.

• Strong

problem-solving and analytical thinking.

• Ability to identify

business problems and recommend practical solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with Excel formulas, Pivot Tables,

sorting, filtering, lookups, and data analysis.

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of databases and relational data

concepts.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps,

or similar tools.

• Basic understanding of APIs and web applications.
• Basic understanding of software architecture and

development processes.

• Familiarity with Figma, Balsamiq, or similar

wireframing/prototyping tools is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar data

visualization tools is a plus.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering,

or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 1–2 years of relevant
• experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Product Analyst,
• Functional Analyst, or similar role.
• Candidates with
• exceptional analytical and technical skills may also be considered based on
• their profile.
