Lead Quality Analyst (Engineering)

The Role

We'relooking for an experiencedLead Quality Analystto lead quality engineering initiatives across our Product & Engineering teams. You willbe responsible fordefining and driving the overall QA strategy, ensuring end-to-end quality across web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Developers, and other stakeholders toidentifyquality risks early,establishrobust testing practices, improve automation coverage, and ensure reliable releases.

This is a hands-on leadership role.We'relooking for someone who canthink strategicallymentor QA engineers, contribute technically, challenge requirements, and drive a strong quality culture across engineering.

What You'll Do

• Own and drive theQA strategy and quality roadmapfor one or more product areas, ensuring quality across the complete SDLC.
• Lead quality activities fromrequirements analysis, test planning, estimation, risk assessment, execution, automation, and release sign-off.
• Design andmaintaincomprehensivefunctional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and end-to-end test suitesacross web and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Define and drive anautomation strategyusing tools such asPlaywright, with a focus on scalable, maintainable, and reliable automation frameworks[ Good tohave ]
• LeverageAI-powered toolsto accelerate test case generation, automation development, defect analysis, test documentation, and overall QA productivity.
• Perform and guideAPI testingusing Postman or similar tools,validatingschemas, authentication/authorization flows, status codes, error handling, integrations, and data contracts.
• Ensureend-to-end data validationacross UI, APIs, services, and databases using SQL andappropriate databasevalidation techniques.
• Drive quality for acritical, data-sensitive healthcare domain, ensuring data integrity, privacy, access control, permissions, and secure handling of sensitive health information.
• Identify quality risks early and work with Product and Engineering teams to define appropriaterisk mitigation and test strategies.
• Establish and trackquality metrics and KPIs, including automation coverage, defect leakage, regression effectiveness, test execution trends, release quality, and production issues.
• Leaddefect triage and root-cause analysis, ensuring critical issues are appropriately prioritized and driven to closure.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Developers, and stakeholders(Operations, Customer Success teamsetc.)duringplanning, refinement, standups, reviews, and release discussions.
• Providequality sign-off and release recommendationsbased on risk, test coverage, defect status, and business impact.
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, automation reliability, andtime-to-release without compromising product quality.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, andestablishbest practices, coding standards, test design principles, and review processes.
• Review automation code and test cases to ensure maintainability, scalability, andappropriate coverage.
• Promote ashift-left quality mindset, encouraging QA involvement early in requirements and design discussions.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing, with experience taking ownership of quality for complex products or product areas.
• Proven experience in aLead QA / Lead Quality Analyst / Senior QA Engineerrole with ownership of QA strategy and execution.
• Strong hands-on experience withweb and mobile application testing, including iOS and Android.
• Strong understanding ofAPI testing, REST APIs, authentication, authorization, integrations, and data validation.
• Good working knowledge ofSQL and database validationfor end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals includingtest strategy, test planning, test case design, defect lifecycle, risk-based testing, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience in building or improvingautomation frameworks and regression suites.
• Experience integrating automated tests intoCI/CD pipelinesand working with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability toidentifyedge cases, hidden risks, and potential production failures.
• Ability to challenge requirements constructively and thinkfromatechnical and end-user perspective.
• Strong experience working directly withdevelopers, Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability tomentor QA engineers, conduct code/test reviews, and drive quality initiatives across teams.
• Strong communication, ownership, leadership, and decision-making skills.

• Experience inhealth-tech, fintech, insurance, or other regulated/data-sensitive domains.
• Strong experience intest automation, preferably with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Experience testingAI/ML-driven product featuresand validating AI-generated or AI-assisted functionality.
• Strong experience withCI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tooling.
• Exposureperformance and load testingusing tools such as JMeter, k6, or similar.
• Experience working with cloud-based applications and distributed/microservices architectures.
• Familiarity withobservability, production monitoring, logs, and incident analysis.
• Experience using AI tools to improvetest automation, test coverage, defect analysis, and QA productivity.
