Technical Program Manager

Hyderabad, India In person Full-time

About the Role

At ekincare, shipping a feature is not the finish line. Moving a business metric is. The Technical Program Manager makes sure that happens. You will run program management for the tech team (planning, dependencies, releases, risks) and track the metrics those programs are meant to move. Today the role sits between Product and Engineering.

Requirements

What you will do

  • Be the bridge between Product and Engineering. Turn product priorities into clear scope, milestones and owners for the tech team, and make engineering’s progress, trade-offs and constraints visible back to product.
  • Run delivery for the tech team. Own sprint and release planning, dependencies, timelines and status across engineering workstreams, from kickoff to launch.
  • Track metrics, not just tasks. Agree with product how each program’s success will be measured, track those metrics before and after release, and flag early when what was shipped isn’t moving the number.
  • Find the cause, not just the delay. When something slips, dig into why (scope, dependency, capacity, unclear requirements) and fix the root cause.
  • Be deeply data-driven. Pull and analyse data on delivery (cycle time, on-time delivery, defect and release trends) and on product metrics, and use it to make decisions, not guesses.
  • Manage risks and escalate early. Surface risks and cross-team dependencies before they become delays, with options and a recommendation.
  • Keep everyone informed. Maintain one source of truth (roadmap, tracker, dashboard) and share short, clear updates so anyone can see what’s done, what’s pending and what’s next.
  • Use AI as a force multiplier. Use AI tools for tracking, reporting, analysis, documentation and your own productivity.

What we are looking for

  • 2–3 years of experience in program or project management, product operations, or a technical or product-adjacent role (engineering, QA, business analysis) with real delivery ownership.
  • A working understanding of how software gets built: SDLC, Agile (Scrum or Kanban), releases, APIs and environments. Enough to hold credible conversations with engineers and challenge estimates.
  • Comfort with data. Able to go from a question → data → insight → action, with strong spreadsheet skills and basic analysis.
  • High ownership. You don’t wait to be told twice, and you don’t let a task go unfinished.
  • Comfortable working across teams without formal authority, and following up relentlessly until you get what you need.
  • Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain technical detail to non-technical people, and business context to engineers.
  • Comfort operating with speed, ambiguity and imperfect information.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, and a genuine curiosity to use AI tools to get more done, faster.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a product company, SaaS or high-growth environment.
  • Experience with SQL or dashboard tools (Power BI, Metabase, Looker or similar) for tracking metrics.
  • Exposure to working with analytics or design teams.
