Be the connection between complex business needs and the technology that supports healthcare across NSW.

As a Technical Business Analyst within Clinical Repositories and Integration Services (CRIS), you’ll work alongside Solution Architects, technical teams and key stakeholders to turn complex requirements into clear, practical solutions.

From requirements and solution designs to interface specifications and technical documentation, you’ll bring clarity and structure to critical clinical integration services, helping our technical specialists focus on what they do best: designing, engineering and delivering great solutions.

In this role, you will

  • Elicit and define business and technical requirements using workshops, process mapping, data and system analysis, workflow analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Translate complex business and user needs into EPICs, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, process maps and specifications that support technical design and build.
  • Develop current and future state process maps, high-level technical solution designs, interface specifications and supporting system documentation.
  • Lead technical workshops and collaborate with NSW Health stakeholders, technology suppliers, Solution Architects, engineers, testers and support teams.
  • Strengthen requirements traceability and documentation governance, ensuring technical artefacts remain accurate, current and consistent across the solution lifecycle.
  • Support benefits realisation by assessing whether initiatives have achieved intended outcomes, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements.

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and information flows between healthcare systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate healthcare needs into requirements that supported technical delivery.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, influence stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly to audiences ranging from technical specialists to executives.
  • Sound understanding of integration, workflow and content management technologies and how they support connected healthcare systems. Practical experience working in Agile and/or PRINCE2 delivery environments.
