Teal vs Scoutify Sniper 2026: Use Both? A Month-Long Test
They pair, not compete. Teal tracks and tailors your resume ($0 or $29/mo); Sniper finds new jobs and submits applications for you. One month of both.
Teal vs Scoutify is not really a head-to-head, because the two tools do different jobs, and after a month of using both I think most active job seekers can use both. Teal tracks your applications and tailors your resume, while you still find each job and submit each application yourself. Scoutify's Sniper finds new jobs on company career pages and submits the application for you, minutes after the job posts, so the pairing is simple: Teal makes the resume better, and Sniper gets it to employers first.

What a month of using both showed
I ran Teal and Scoutify side by side for a month to see whether they compete or pair. My conclusion was that they pair. The overlap is small, because Teal does not alert you to new jobs within minutes or submit applications, and Scoutify does not rewrite your resume or organize jobs you found elsewhere, so each tool covers the gap the other one leaves.
What Teal does
Teal is a job search manager. Its center is a Kanban-style job tracker where you save roles from any job site with its Chrome extension, move them through stages, and keep notes and follow-up reminders. Around that, it offers an AI resume builder that compares your resume with a specific job description and suggests changes, a cover letter helper, and tools to help with LinkedIn profiles and interview preparation.
Teal does not submit applications for you. Its extension can help you save jobs and fill in some fields, but you still find each posting, open each form and press submit. If you are unsure where autofill ends and auto-apply begins, our explainer on autofill vs auto-apply covers the difference. Teal has a free tier with the tracker and basic resume tools, and Teal+ costs $29 a month, with weekly and quarterly options, as reported in September 2026. Our Teal review goes deeper.
What Scoutify Sniper does
Scoutify is AI job search that applies for you first. It watches 70,000+ company career pages directly and catches a new job when the employer publishes it. When the job fits your roles, locations, experience level and visa sponsorship needs and it is on a Workday, Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters career site, Sniper fills in the employer's real application form with your resume and profile and submits it, usually within minutes of the posting. Ashby and Lever are rolling out now. Sniper sends up to 500 applications a week, picks the best of up to 100 resumes for each job, and keeps working while you sleep.
Sniper never logs in to your LinkedIn account and never applies to the same posting twice. Most applications get the employer's own confirmation email: from August 27 to September 25, 2026, 68% of Sniper applications received one, with a median of 1.2 minutes after submission. Those confirmations and every reply land in Scoutify Mail, sorted by stage, so Scoutify also does some of the tracking that Teal's board does by hand. What Sniper does not do is tailor your resume or write cover letters.

Where Teal is the better tool
Teal is better when your problem is the quality of what you send or the mess of keeping track. Its resume analysis tells you which keywords and experiences a job description cares about, which is useful when you are changing fields or applying to a role that is a stretch. Its board keeps every application, contact and follow-up in one place, which Scoutify does not try to replace for jobs you find elsewhere.
Where Scoutify is the better tool
Scoutify is better when your problem is timing or volume of work. Teal's job matching works from its own database, so it is not built to show you a job minutes after it posts, and every application still takes your time. Sniper catches new jobs at the source and submits them while the applicant list is short, which is the part of the search that is hardest to do by hand.
How to use Teal and Scoutify together
The workflow that makes sense is to do the thinking in Teal and the applying in Scoutify. Use Teal's resume builder to make two or three strong versions of your resume for the role types you want, and upload those to Sniper, which picks the best fit for each job. Let Sniper apply to new postings on supported career sites, and use Teal's tracker for the jobs you apply to by hand, such as roles you reach through a referral or jobs on sites Sniper does not support.
Pairing Teal+ at $29 a month with Sniper at $25 a week covers both preparation and applying. If you only want to hear about new jobs and apply yourself, Scoutify's alerts cost $5 a week, which makes the pairing much cheaper.

Teal and Scoutify solve different problems. Teal helps you present your best application once you have found a job, and Scoutify finds the job first and, with Sniper, sends the application for you. If you have to pick one, pick the one that matches your bottleneck: Teal if your resume is the weak point, and Scoutify's Sniper if you want applications submitted minutes after jobs post, starting with 25 free applications.
