Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Understand the commitments that keep Scoutify fast, fair, and reliable for ambitious job seekers.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scoutify service (the "Service"), operated by Notify You, Inc., doing business as Scoutify ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

Some parts of the Service are free, and others require a paid subscription. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and before you buy. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (currently weekly) and you will be charged the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: for purchases made on our website, from your account dashboard; for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, through your Apple or Google account. Cancelling stops future renewals, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Purchases through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple's or Google's terms. We will tell you before any price change applies to your subscription.

3. Applying on Your Behalf

When you ask Scoutify to apply to a job, or turn on auto-apply, you authorize us to act as your agent to submit applications for you. This includes filling in employer application forms with the information in your profile, attaching your resume, answering application questions (with the help of AI models), and creating accounts with employer hiring portals in your name where an employer requires one. With auto-apply on, we apply to jobs that match your preferences without asking you to approve each one, up to the limits of your plan. You can turn auto-apply off at any time. You are responsible for making sure the information in your profile is accurate and truthful, because it is what employers receive. We do not guarantee that any application will be submitted successfully, reviewed, or lead to an interview or offer, and each employer handles your application under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it using a method other than the interface and instructions we provide. You may not use the Service to distribute spam, infringe intellectual property, or engage in unlawful activity. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

5. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

7. Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results obtained from use of the Service will meet your requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Notify You, Inc. and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Brooklyn, New York.

12. Third-Party Integrations

Scoutify offers optional integrations with third-party services such as Gmail and Outlook to enhance the Service. When you connect a third-party account, you authorize Scoutify to access only the specific data needed to provide the integration (for Gmail and Outlook, reading job-application-related email, sending email you write in Scoutify, and, if you turn it on, archiving application confirmations; the exact permissions are listed in our Privacy Policy). Use of data obtained from these integrations is governed by our Privacy Policy and the relevant third-party terms (including the Google API Services User Data Policy). You may disconnect any integration at any time through your Scoutify account settings or via the third-party service's own permissions page.
