FAANG Internships 2027: Live Career Pages and Alert Setup
FAANG internships for summer 2027 open on different dates. See what Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple and Netflix had live on September 28, 2026, and how to apply the day a role posts.
FAANG internships for summer 2027 are already posting, but the five companies don't open on the same day. We checked each official career site on September 28, 2026. Google had 22 summer 2027 internships listed in the US. Amazon had posted its general US software development engineer intern role on September 17, and Apple's broad internship listings had been up since May. Meta had seven intern roles live worldwide, none of them its general software engineering internship, and Netflix had no summer roles yet.
If you searched for summer 2026 internships, that cycle has ended. The roles opening now start in May or June 2027.
I started my own first internship search in late January 2025, later than the usual advice says, and two things from that search shape this guide. At the companies everyone knows, timing mattered most, because by the time I saw a posting, dozens of other candidates had already applied. The posting that got me an interview, a data analyst internship at Trillium Trading, came from a company I would never have found on LinkedIn or Indeed, which is why this guide also covers where to apply beyond the five famous names.

When do FAANG internship applications open?
For summer 2027, the first FAANG internship listings went up in May 2026, and most appeared between late July and September 2026. On September 28, several of the most-watched software roles still weren't posted, and new internships keep appearing through the spring. Here is when each company's roles went up:
| Company | First summer 2027 listing we found | Main software internship on Sept 28 |
|---|---|---|
| Google doesn't show posting dates; 22 US summer 2027 roles were live | Software Engineering Intern, PhD was listed. The US BS/MS software internship was not. | |
| Meta | July 31, 2026 (Data Engineer Intern, Product Analytics) | Software Engineer, Intern/Co-op was not listed. |
| Amazon | May 30, 2026 (2027 Tax Intern); operations roles from August 5 | Software Development Engineer Intern, Summer 2027 (USA), posted September 17. |
| Apple | May 21, 2026 (broad internship listings) | Software Undergrad Engineering Internships, posted May 21. |
| Netflix | No summer 2027 listing had posted. | No summer software internship had posted. Netflix posts intern roles from late summer through spring. |
Netflix spells out its timing. Its internship page says it usually starts posting intern roles "on a rolling basis in the late summer and early fall each year" and often keeps posting "throughout the spring the following year." The others post by team, degree level and country, so a company can have roles open for months while its main undergrad software posting hasn't appeared.
This is why a fixed "applications open in October" rule is unreliable. Some broad internship requisitions appear months before narrower roles, and an empty search today does not mean the program is finished. Check the official page repeatedly or monitor it for changes.
Late roles are common, too, and Scoutify's data shows they are substantial rather than edge cases. In Scoutify's internship data from last season, January and February produced 6,700 new internship postings, and March alone produced 6,241. Amazon added 25 internships that March and Meta added 16, even though conventional recruiting calendars describe fall as the main season. That dataset found 3,969 companies with at least one internship during the tracking period, and we manually checked a sample of more than 200 titles. The data covers companies that post through formal applicant tracking systems, so it undercounts startups that only post on LinkedIn and should not be treated as a count of every internship on the internet. The 2026 internship report explains the method, and it is the better guide for deciding which industries and locations to include. For openings beyond these five companies, the guide to Summer 2027 internships tracks the wider cycle. My own search started in late January, and that is one reason I would not write off the winter months.
What each company had open on September 28, 2026
Google's US internship search showed 26 roles: 22 summer 2027 internships and four student researcher positions. The engineering listings included Software Engineering Intern, PhD, plus BS/MS internships in security engineering, hardware, silicon, UX engineering and technical program management. Google also listed an Associate Product Manager Intern for summer 2027. Outside the US, BS/MS software engineering and SRE internships for 2027 were already open in cities including London, Zürich, Warsaw and Bucharest. Google's student careers page links to its internship programs.
Meta
Meta's internship search had seven postings worldwide, five of them in the US: Data Engineer Intern, Product Analytics (Summer 2027), Production Engineer and Network Production Engineer interns, and two research scientist internships for PhD students. The general Software Engineer, Intern/Co-op role wasn't listed. Meta's students and grads page covers the programs.
Amazon
Amazon's general US role, Software Development Engineer Intern, Summer 2027 (USA), went up on September 17. Team-specific SDE intern roles for Annapurna Labs, Robotics, Amazon Dedicated Cloud and Amazon Leo were open as well, and a US search for "intern 2027" returned 34 listings, including solutions architect, product management and area manager internships. Amazon also had 2027 internships live in multiple countries by September. Amazon's internships for students page covers the programs.
Apple
Apple's US internship search had 25 listings. Apple had already published summer 2027 internship families for software, hardware, machine learning, business and program management. Most of them, including Software Undergrad Engineering Internships, date from May 21 and 22, 2026, and more program-specific roles appeared in August. Apple says on these listings that they aren't for a specific opening; applying registers your interest in that type of role. Newer additions include Applied Data Solutions Program, Internships, Summer 2027 (August 27), which lists pay for a specific program, and MBA Internships (August 5), which is another interest listing.
Netflix
Netflix had no summer 2027 roles on its job site, only two PhD machine learning internships for winter 2027 and a fall 2026 video algorithms internship. Its internship page describes a program that typically runs 12 weeks in the summer, mostly in engineering and data, with interns in the United States, India, Poland and Japan. The program also spans data and insights, content, finance, marketing and program management, and Netflix handles applications through its live job site.
Looking for 2026 FAANG internships?
Summer 2026 internships are over. The 2026-dated intern roles we found were off-cycle: Google's student researcher positions for fall 2026 and Netflix's fall 2026 video algorithms internship. For a summer internship, search for 2027, and also search for "intern" with no year, because companies label the cycle differently. Google writes "Summer 2027" or just "2027," Amazon uses both, and Apple's broad listings carry no year at all.
What FAANG internships pay
Most of the US postings we opened list pay. Here are the base pay figures as of September 28, 2026, with a weekly equivalent so the different formats compare. They don't include bonuses, housing or relocation support.
| Company | Role | Listed pay (US) | About per week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Software Engineering Intern, PhD, Summer 2027 | $118,000 to $157,000 a year | $2,270 to $3,020 | |
| Security Engineering Intern, BS/MS, Summer 2027 | $98,000 to $131,000 a year | $1,880 to $2,520 | |
| Technical Program Manager Intern, BS/MS, Summer 2027 | $94,000 to $125,000 a year | $1,810 to $2,400 | |
| Associate Product Manager Intern, Summer 2027 | $94,000 to $125,000 a year | $1,810 to $2,400 | |
| User Experience Engineer Intern, BS/MS, Summer 2027 | $88,000 to $117,000 a year | $1,690 to $2,250 | |
| Amazon | Software Development Engineer Intern, Summer 2027 (USA) | $109,395 a year (Seattle and Arlington, VA) | $2,100 |
| Meta | Production Engineer Intern | $7,313 to $11,293 a month | $1,690 to $2,610 |
| Meta | Data Engineer Intern, Product Analytics (Summer 2027) | $7,469 to $9,138 a month | $1,720 to $2,110 |
| Apple | Applied Data Solutions Program, Internships, Summer 2027 (Cupertino) | $33.64 to $50.46 an hour | $1,350 to $2,020 |
Weekly figures divide annual pay by 52, convert monthly pay at 12 months a year, and assume 40 hours for hourly pay. At the listed rates, a 12-week engineering internship at Google, Amazon or Meta comes to roughly $20,000 to $36,000 before tax, with PhD roles at the top. Apple's broad listings show no pay because they aren't for a specific opening, and Netflix had no summer postings to check.
Who can apply
Read the requirements closely, because some rule people out on graduation date alone. The postings we read set these conditions.
- Amazon's US SDE intern role asks for an expected graduation date between October 2027 and September 2029, at least one term of school left after the internship, and 12 weeks in the office at 40 hours a week.
- Google's summer 2027 postings prefer students in their penultimate year, or who will return to school after the internship, and who can work full time for 12 weeks.
- Apple requires you to return to school after the internship, unless the internship is the last requirement for your degree.
- Meta's postings ask for enrollment in a degree program and work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.
- Netflix accepts students pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree.
How to get alerts for new FAANG internship postings
- Save a search on each company's site. Google has Job alerts, Apple has Save Search, and Meta has Save this search. Netflix offers a talent community sign-up. On Amazon, bookmark a filtered search for intern roles in your country.
- Search each company's own wording. Google titles roles like "Software Engineering BS/MS Intern, 2027," Amazon uses "Software Development Engineer Intern," Meta uses "Intern/Co-op," and Apple calls its listing "Software Undergrad Engineering Internships." One search for "software engineer intern" will miss some of them, so include both "intern" and "internship," then filter by your eligible country and discipline.
- Add a Scoutify alert for speed. Company alerts cover one employer each and arrive on that company's schedule. Scoutify sends instant internship alerts from company career pages: it watches 70,000+ company career pages directly and sends a push notification within minutes of a matching posting, so you don't depend on a third-party board to syndicate it. Set your filters to internships and pick your roles, and Google, Meta and Amazon roles show up in the same feed as internships from other companies. Alerts cost $5 a week. For companies that hire through Greenhouse, Workday or SmartRecruiters, Sniper can also submit the application for you, as the next section explains.
- Read the posting before you apply. Check the graduation window, location, dates, degree requirements and work authorization, and note whether it's a pooled posting. Do not infer eligibility from the search-card title. Amazon's SDE listing says your application "will be considered for Summer 2027 internship roles" at every US location that hosts interns.
- Save the link and the requisition ID. Listings can close or be replaced once a team has enough candidates, so apply while the posting is live.
How to apply the day a FAANG internship posting opens
An alert tells you a role is live, and applying that same day is the habit that matters most once it does. At FAANG, that part is manual. Google, Meta, Amazon and Apple each run their own application system, Netflix takes applications through its own job site, and Sniper does not apply at any of them, so for these five the alert gives you the head start and you write the application yourself.
A same-day routine for the five looks like this. When the alert arrives, open the posting and check the graduation window, location and work authorization first, because those rule people out on paper before anyone reads your resume. Then tailor the top third of your resume to the stated requirements, paste in the answers you wrote in advance for availability and authorization, and submit through the official career page. With that preparation done, the whole application fits into one evening, even during midterms.
Your list should go beyond the core five. The broader "Big Tech" group, including Microsoft, Salesforce, Adobe and Uber, offers comparable internship experiences, and these adjacent companies are worth tracking alongside FAANG:
- Microsoft has similar prestige to FAANG, with strong internship programs across Azure, Office and other divisions.
- Uber and Lyft offer complex technical challenges in real-time systems and logistics.
- Stripe is often considered FAANG-tier for engineering culture and compensation.
- Databricks and Snowflake are hot data companies with strong internship programs.
If your list goes beyond these five companies, applying by hand within hours of each new posting gets hard to keep up. In Scoutify's company data, Stripe, Databricks, Airbnb, Pinterest and Figma take applications through Greenhouse, and Nvidia and Salesforce use Workday. Sniper, Scoutify's AI auto-apply, works on employer career sites that run Greenhouse, Workday and SmartRecruiters, and Ashby (which Snowflake uses) and Lever are rolling out. When a new internship matches your roles, experience level and location, Sniper fills in the real application on the employer's site with your resume and submits it, often minutes after the job posts, and it keeps doing that around the clock, including while you sleep. It sends one application per posting, it never logs in to your LinkedIn account, and most employers' confirmation emails and replies land in Scoutify Mail.
Your first 25 applications are free, with no card. After that, Auto Apply is $15 a week for up to 200 applications, and Sniper is $25 a week for up to 500, with the best-fit resume picked for each job from up to 100 you upload. See Sniper plans and pricing.
A setup that works for FAANG applicants is to keep saved searches and alerts for the FAANG companies, where you apply by hand within a day, and to auto-apply the day a posting opens at the Greenhouse and Workday companies, where Sniper can submit within minutes. Microsoft also runs its own application site, so treat it like the core five. The SWE internship alerts guide for 2027 explains in more detail when Sniper fits better than alerts, and does auto-apply work? covers its limits honestly.
How to get a FAANG internship
FAANG interviews are among the most rigorous in the industry, and with tens of thousands of applicants, differentiation matters.
Coding interviews
Expect data structures and algorithms questions in a shared editor, usually over more than one round. Technical interviews often test debugging and communication as well. Practice by pattern (graphs, intervals, sliding windows, dynamic programming) instead of chasing a problem count, and practice in the format the employer describes. Say your approach before you type, explain tradeoffs aloud and test edge cases out loud, because interviewers score your reasoning as well as the final code. Time-box your practice sessions and review your mistakes after each attempt. Peer mock interviews are valuable because they reveal whether your explanation is understandable, not just whether the final code runs.
Be ready to talk about AI coding tools
Amazon's summer 2027 SDE intern posting lists experience with AI-assisted development tools as a basic qualification, and it says interns should "critically validate, verify, and integrate AI-generated code." Have a concrete example ready: a time a tool gave you wrong code, how you caught it, and what you changed.
Projects and behavioral questions
Some internship loops include practical design or project discussions. Pick two projects you can explain in depth: why you chose the data model or API, what broke, and what you would change at ten times the scale. For behavioral rounds, read the employer's current interview guidance and values, then prepare specific stories about teamwork, ownership, a disagreement, a failure and something you learned quickly. The STAR format is useful only if the action and result are concrete enough to survive follow-up questions. Amazon's behavioral questions follow its Leadership Principles, so read them before an Amazon interview.
Resume and referrals
Your resume needs to pass both automated screening and recruiter review. Keep it to one page, lead with projects and past internships, and put numbers on results where you have them. Use the posting's wording where it's true for you, without keyword-stuffing. Previous internships, significant open source contributions and competitive programming achievements all strengthen a FAANG application. A referral adds context but doesn't replace meeting the requirements. Ask university alumni or people who know your work for specific advice first. If an alum offers a referral, send them the exact job link and requisition ID with two lines on why you fit. Earlier in school, an internship at a smaller company gives you real work to talk about in next year's FAANG interviews.
Apply early without sacrificing quality
An alert should create preparation time, not panic. Keep one reviewed resume ready, maintain a short project inventory, and pre-write factual answers for work authorization, location, graduation date and availability. When a role appears, tailor the top third of your resume to the actual requirements, proofread it, and submit through the official career page.
Apply to adjacent companies too. Microsoft, Stripe, Databricks, Adobe, Uber and many smaller engineering teams can offer substantial projects and strong mentorship. A focused application to a suitable role is more useful than treating a five-company acronym as the whole internship market.
FAANG internship FAQ
When do FAANG internship applications open?
FAANG internship applications for summer 2027 opened on different dates. Apple posted its broad internship listings on May 21, 2026, Amazon posted its general US software development engineer intern role on September 17, and Google had 22 US summer 2027 roles live by September 28, while Meta's general software engineering internship and Netflix's summer roles had not yet posted that day. Most roles appear between late July and October, and new ones keep posting through the spring.
What is a FAANG internship?
A FAANG internship is an internship at one of the five companies in the acronym: Meta (formerly Facebook), Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Google. Most run for 12 weeks over the summer, and many lists add Microsoft.
Are FAANG internships first come, first served?
Officially, they are not. Still, none of the postings we opened listed a deadline, and roles can come down once a team has enough candidates, so applying in the first few days is the safer plan. Netflix says it starts accepting applications as soon as roles go live.
How much do FAANG interns make?
On the postings we checked, US engineering internships listed about $1,700 to $3,000 a week in base pay, or roughly $42 to $75 an hour. Amazon listed $109,395 a year for its SDE intern role, and Google's ranges ran from $88,000 to $157,000 a year depending on the role.
When should I apply for summer 2027?
You should apply as soon as the role you want posts. Apple's broad listings, Google's summer 2027 roles and Amazon's SDE intern role were already open on September 28, 2026, and for roles that haven't posted yet, an alert is more reliable than checking by hand.
Can Sniper apply to FAANG internships for me?
Sniper does not apply to Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple or Netflix, because each of them takes applications through its own system. It applies to new matching internships at employers whose career sites run Workday, Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters, such as Stripe, Databricks and Nvidia, and Ashby and Lever are rolling out.
