Is Huntr Pro worth $40 a month? Huntr Pro is worth it if you track a large search and want a visual board, resume tailoring and autofill in one place, but Huntr does not find jobs or submit applications for you. I tracked 50 real applications in Huntr, and the free tier hit a wall at 23 of them. This Huntr review covers what the tracker does well, Huntr pricing in 2026, where Pro pays off, where Teal still wins, and what to use if you want the application sent for you.

I am the founder of Scoutify, so you should read my opinion with that in mind, although Huntr and Scoutify mostly do different jobs. Huntr organizes the applications you send. Scoutify is AI job search that applies for you first: it watches 70,000+ company career pages, and our Sniper auto-apply plan submits your resume to new jobs that fit you, minutes after they post.

What Huntr Does

Huntr's core product is a visual job tracker. You add job listings to a board and drag them through columns such as Wishlist, Applied, Interview and Offer, much like Trello built for a job search. Around that board, Huntr has added resume tailoring, a Chrome extension that autofills application forms, and contact management, and it positions itself as an organizer for the administrative side of a search.

The Kanban Board

The board is clean and works well. Each job card stores the company, role, link, salary range, notes and any contacts tied to that opportunity, and you can rename columns to match your own process. If you are applying to 20 or more roles at once, seeing your whole pipeline on one screen makes it much easier to spot where you need to follow up.

Resume Tailoring

Huntr's resume builder lets you keep several versions of your resume and tailor them to specific job descriptions. It highlights keywords from the posting that are missing from your resume and gives you a match score, much like Jobscan. It is a good starting point if you do not already use a dedicated resume tool.

Autofill

The browser extension fills in common application fields such as your name, email, phone, work history and education, and it records which jobs you applied to. It works reasonably well on Greenhouse, Lever and Workday, and it is less consistent on custom forms. Autofill is not auto-apply: Huntr fills the form, and you still review it and click submit yourself.

Contact Management

You can attach recruiters, hiring managers and referrals to each job card and log your conversations with them. That is useful if networking is a big part of your search.

Huntr Pricing

Huntr has a free plan and one paid plan, Pro. On September 30, 2026, Huntr's pricing page listed these prices:

  • The free plan costs nothing and includes up to 100 tracked jobs, 2 tailored resumes and a small number of AI credits for testing.
  • Pro costs $40 a month on monthly billing.
  • Pro costs $90 every 3 months on quarterly billing, which works out to $30 a month.
  • Pro costs $160 every 6 months on twice-yearly billing, which works out to about $26.66 a month.

Pro adds unlimited tracking, unlimited autofills, the full resume builder and the AI features. When I tracked 50 real applications, the free tier hit a wall at 23, so plan on upgrading if you apply broadly, and check which free limit matters for your search before you start. At $40 a month, Pro is one of the more expensive tools in this category, especially when a Notion template or a Google Sheet can handle basic tracking for free.

Where Pro Pays Off, and Where Teal Still Wins

Pro pays off when you are applying to dozens of jobs a week and the board, the autofill and the contact log save you real time on each one. If you commit to a quarter or half a year, the price drops to $26.66 to $30 a month, which is easier to justify during a long search.

Teal still wins on resume tailoring. Teal's resume tool goes further in rewriting and organizing tailored versions, and it costs $29 a month, so if your bottleneck is the resume rather than the tracking, I would pick Teal. Our Teal review covers it in detail.

What Huntr's Own Data Says About Volume

Huntr publishes research from the searches its users track, which is one of the more useful things a tracker can do. Its Q1 2026 job search report covered 139,927 applications from 25,635 job seekers, and it found that the median search took 108 days and that two-thirds of successful searches ended within 50 applications. We use that report in our guide to how many jobs to apply to per day.

What Huntr Does Well

  • The Kanban board is the best way for many people to manage a search across several companies.
  • Tracking, resume tools and contacts live in one place, which cuts down on switching between tools.
  • The browser extension's autofill and automatic tracking save meaningful time across dozens of applications.
  • The interface is polished and easy to learn.

Where Huntr Falls Short

  • Huntr does not find jobs. You still search job boards or career pages yourself and add listings to your board.
  • Huntr sends no alerts when new jobs are posted at the companies you care about.
  • Pro is expensive at $40 a month on monthly billing, and free tools can handle basic tracking.
  • The resume builder is basic next to dedicated tools like Jobscan or Rezi, because it catches keyword gaps but gives little formatting guidance.
  • The autofill struggles with custom forms, which are common at smaller companies and startups.
  • Huntr does not submit applications, so every application still ends with you filling in and sending the form.

Huntr vs Sniper

Huntr and Sniper sit on opposite sides of the submit button. Huntr is a tracker with autofill: you find the job, save it to your board, let the extension fill the form, check it and click submit. Sniper is a tool that submits. Scoutify watches 70,000+ company career pages, and when a new job on a Workday, Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters career site fits your roles, locations and visa needs, Sniper fills in the employer's form with your real resume and submits it minutes after the job posts, around the clock, including while you sleep. Support for Ashby and Lever is rolling out.

Most employers answer a completed application with their own confirmation email, and those confirmations and any replies land in Scoutify Mail, which also gives you a record of what was sent. Sniper never logs in to your LinkedIn account, and it sends one application per posting. Sniper costs $25 a week for up to 500 applications, Auto Apply costs $15 a week for up to 200, and your first 25 applications are free, with no card. Our guide to autofill vs auto-apply explains when each approach makes sense, and the best auto-apply tools in 2026 compares the tools that submit for you.

Who Should Use Huntr?

Huntr suits job seekers who are applying to many roles and need a system to track them, who prefer a visual board to a spreadsheet, who want resume tailoring and tracking in one tool, and who are willing to pay for that convenience. If you only need autofill, our list of the best autofill tools for job applications covers cheaper and free options.

If your main problem is finding relevant jobs quickly or getting applications out the door, Huntr will not solve it. It assumes you have already found the jobs and need help managing them.

Alternatives to Consider

  • Teal is a similar all-in-one tracker with stronger resume tools, and Teal+ costs $29 a month.
  • Notion and Google Sheets are free options for basic tracking, and job search communities share good templates for both.
  • Simplify offers a free job tracker with autofill.
  • Scoutify is not a tracker, but its Sniper plan finds new jobs on company career pages and applies to them for you.

The Bottom Line

Huntr is a polished job application tracker that does its core job well. The board is intuitive, the extension saves time and the resume tools add convenience, but Pro is expensive for what it offers on monthly billing, and Huntr does not find jobs or apply to them.

If you benefit from visual organization and apply to enough roles to justify the subscription, Huntr is a solid choice, especially on quarterly billing. If you would rather not fill in the forms at all, you can keep a free tracker or let Sniper find the job and apply: try Sniper with 25 free applications.

Does Huntr help you find jobs?

Huntr does not find jobs or send alerts about new postings. It is a tracking and organization tool, so you need another source, such as a job board or a career-page tool like Scoutify, to find the jobs.

Is Huntr better than Teal?

Huntr is stronger for visual tracking with its Kanban board, and Teal is stronger for resume building and tailoring. Both have free plans, so choose Huntr if organization is your priority and Teal if the resume is your bottleneck.
