7 Best Job Autofill Chrome Extensions (2026)
We tested Simplify, SpeedyApply, Jobright and more on Workday, Greenhouse and Lever. Compare 7 job autofill extensions, plus tools that submit applications for you.
The best job autofill extension for most people in 2026 is Simplify, because its job application autofill is free, it works on more than 100 applicant tracking systems, and it leaves the final submit click to you. SpeedyApply is the better pick if most of your applications run through Workday or Greenhouse, and Jobright's extension only makes sense if you already pay for Jobright. No autofill extension sends the application for you, though, so if that is what you actually want, look at Scoutify's Sniper, which applies on employer career sites minutes after a job posts and has its own section below. I built Scoutify, so weigh that part of my recommendation with that in mind.
Filling out job applications is one of the most repetitive tasks in any job search. You type your name, email, phone number, work history, education and work authorization, the same 15 to 20 fields, over and over across different ATS portals. Autofill extensions remove that repetition by saving your information once and filling it into hundreds of application forms. We tested Simplify, SpeedyApply and Jobright on Workday, Greenhouse and Lever forms, and the notes on the other four extensions come from their product pages and from our full reviews, which are linked in each section.
What a Job Autofill Extension Does, and Where It Stops
A job autofill extension is a browser add-on that reads the fields on an application form and fills them from a profile you saved once. You still find the job, open the application, check what was filled in, answer anything new and press submit yourself. That is the main reason people like autofill: you keep full control over each application, and the tool only removes the typing.
The limit is the same thing seen from the other side. An autofill extension does nothing until you open the form, so it cannot help you find new postings sooner, and it cannot apply while you are at work or asleep. Tools that handle both steps are called auto-apply tools, and our guide to autofill vs auto-apply explains where each kind of tool breaks.
Why Autofill Tools Matter
A typical job application takes 15 to 25 minutes to complete by hand. If you apply to 10 jobs a week, that is 2.5 to 4 hours of data entry alone. An autofill tool cuts each application to 2 to 5 minutes, including review time, which saves you 2 to 3 hours a week, and over a search that lasts several months those hours add up.
Speed also matters for another reason. Research consistently shows that early applicants receive more interview callbacks, because recruiters often start with the first applications and stop once they have enough people to interview. If you can submit an application within minutes of discovering a new posting, you land in the recruiter's queue before most applicants arrive. Autofill handles the second half of that speed problem; the first half is learning about new postings quickly, which is where real-time tools like Scoutify come in.
The 7 Best Job Autofill Extensions Compared

| SpeedyApply | Workday and Greenhouse, on Chrome | Free tier; Premium from $10/month | No | Searches heavy on Workday and Greenhouse |
| Jobright | Major ATS platforms and LinkedIn Easy Apply | Paid plans; Turbo reported at $39.99/month | No (its separate Agent can) | People already paying for Jobright |
| Huntr | Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and other common forms | Free tier; Pro $40/month | No | Autofill plus a job tracker |
| Teal | Common application forms | Free tier; Teal+ $29/month | No | Resume tailoring alongside applications |

None of the seven submits an application for you. If that is the part you want handled, skip to the section on tools that submit for you, where Sniper and AIApply are compared.
1. Simplify: The Best All-Around Job Autofill Extension
Simplify is the autofill tool we recommend most often, and for good reason. It supports over 100 ATS platforms, including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, SmartRecruiters, Ashby and BambooHR, and it runs on Chrome and Firefox. The core autofill is completely free, with no limit on the number of applications you can fill. Simplify+ costs $39.99 a month and adds AI resume tailoring, writing help and networking tools, but you do not need it for autofill.
Strengths
- Simplify has the broadest ATS coverage we found, so if you apply across startups, enterprises and agencies, it handles most of the forms you will see.
- The core autofill is genuinely free, with no application caps and no feature gates on basic functionality.
- It handles custom questions well, because you can save answers to common screening questions and it suggests them when a similar question appears on a new application.
- You can build your profile by importing your LinkedIn profile or uploading a resume, which speeds up the initial setup.
- The extension is actively developed and receives regular updates for new ATS versions and compatibility fixes.
Weaknesses
- Your profile is stored on Simplify's servers, which makes syncing across devices possible but means a third party holds your personal data.
- Like every autofill tool, Simplify sometimes struggles with heavily customized Workday implementations, so you will occasionally need to correct fields by hand.
- The free tier is generous, but Simplify promotes its premium features, such as resume analysis and job matching, inside the extension.
- Simplify does not find jobs or submit anything, so you still discover each posting and click submit yourself.
Our full Simplify review covers setup and the Copilot features in more depth. If you are deciding between filling forms yourself and having applications sent for you, Simplify vs Scoutify Sniper compares the two approaches directly.
2. SpeedyApply: The Best Extension for Workday and Greenhouse
If you searched for the SpeedyApply extension, here is the short answer: SpeedyApply is a Chrome extension that autofills job applications on Workday and Greenhouse only, with a free tier and Premium from $10 a month. It takes the opposite approach from Simplify and trades broad coverage for depth on two platforms. If your target companies mostly use Workday or Greenhouse (and many large tech companies and growth-stage startups do), its specialized mapping logic can give you smoother autofill on those specific forms.
Strengths
- The focused approach gives it better field mapping and higher accuracy on Workday and Greenhouse than generalist tools manage.
- Your profile data stays on your own machine, which is a privacy advantage over cloud-based alternatives.
- A built-in application tracker logs every application you submit, so you get an activity record without a separate tool. If you want a standalone tracker that works on any site, try our free application tracker.
Weaknesses
- It supports only two ATS platforms, so it cannot help with a Lever, iCIMS or Ashby application, and you need a second tool for those forms.
- It runs only in Chrome and has no Firefox or Safari support.
- Local storage carries a durability risk, because your profile can be lost if you clear browser data or switch computers, so regular exports are essential.
- It does not sync across devices, so you need to set up a separate profile on each machine you use.
Our SpeedyApply review goes further into its Workday handling and the data-loss reports some users have posted.
3. Jobright's Extension: Best for People Already Paying for Jobright
Jobright offers a Chrome extension as part of its AI job search platform. The extension autofills forms on major ATS platforms and on LinkedIn's Easy Apply, and it sits alongside Jobright's AI job matching and resume suggestions. Full autofill is tied to Jobright's paid plan, which reviewers in 2026 report as Turbo at $39.99 a month, and the same plan includes an Agent that can submit some applications for you.
Strengths
- It is integrated with the rest of Jobright, so if you already use Jobright for job discovery and resume building, the extension shares your profile and fits naturally into that workflow.
- It can suggest resume improvements and show match insights while you are on a job listing page.
- It works on LinkedIn job pages, where it offers autofill for Easy Apply and notes on how well you fit the job.
Weaknesses
- Full autofill requires a paid Jobright plan, which is expensive if autofill is the only feature you want.
- Its ATS coverage is narrower than Simplify's, because it covers the major platforms without the breadth of a dedicated autofill tool.
- It is tied to one ecosystem, so if you stop using Jobright, the extension loses most of its value.
Our Jobright review covers the Agent, the pricing and where auto-apply broke on Workday in our test.
4. Huntr: Best If You Want Autofill and a Job Tracker Together
Huntr started as a job tracker and now includes a browser extension that fills common fields such as your name, email, phone, work history and education, and it logs the jobs you apply to by detecting each submission. The autofill works reasonably well on Greenhouse, Lever and Workday and is less consistent on custom forms. The free tier tracks up to 40 jobs, and Pro costs $40 a month or $250 a year.
Huntr is a good choice if you would otherwise run a separate tracker next to your autofill tool. If you only want autofill, Simplify does that part for free. Our Huntr review has the full breakdown.
5. Teal: Best If You Tailor Your Resume for Each Application
Teal is a job search workspace with a resume builder, a Kanban-style tracker and a Chrome extension that saves listings from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and other sites, and Teal also offers an autofill feature for application forms. Its real strength is resume tailoring, which needs Teal+ at $29 a month or $9 a week, while the tracker and the extension are free. Choose Teal if you rewrite your resume for each role and want the tracker, the tailoring and the form filling in one place. Our Teal review has the details.
6. Careerflow: The Lowest-Cost All-in-One Option
Careerflow bundles a job tracker, a LinkedIn profile optimizer, a resume builder and a browser extension that saves listings and fills in application forms. Its free tier tracks up to 15 applications, Pro costs $19 a month (or $12 a month billed annually), and Premium costs $25 a month billed annually, which makes it cheaper than Huntr and Jobright for a similar bundle. Our Careerflow review found the LinkedIn optimizer to be its most useful feature.
7. JobWizard: A Newer Extension Built Only for Autofill
JobWizard is a newer Chrome extension that focuses only on filling application forms, and it holds several of the top search results for questions about autofill. We have not tested it in the depth of the extensions above, so I would try it on a few low-priority applications before relying on it, and you should check its current pricing on its own site.
When Autofill Is Not Enough: Tools That Submit for You
Autofill saves typing, but you still have to find each posting, open it and press submit, so the number of applications you can send is capped by the hours you can sit at a browser. Auto-apply tools remove both of those steps. They watch for new postings that match your filters, fill in the application and send it, and the good ones show you exactly what they sent.
I hit this wall myself during my second internship cycle. I was getting Scoutify's alerts and finding great jobs early, but the sheer volume of applications was exhausting, because I was filling out the same fields on Greenhouse and Workday over and over again, and I eventually got bored of applying by hand. A browser extension could not fix that for me, because a browser extension only works when your laptop is open, and jobs get posted at 2 a.m. That is why I built Sniper to send the applications itself.
Scoutify Sniper: Applies on the Employer's Career Site Minutes After a Job Posts
Sniper is the auto-apply agent inside Scoutify, and I built it for exactly this gap. Scoutify watches 70,000+ company career pages, and when a new posting fits your roles, years of experience, locations, job type and visa needs, Sniper opens the employer's own application on Workday, Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters, fills it in with your resume and profile, and submits it, often minutes after the job went up. Ashby and Lever are rolling out. Sniper submits for you around the clock, so it keeps applying while you are at work or asleep.
Three details matter if you are coming from autofill. First, Sniper never logs in to LinkedIn and never applies on linkedin.com, so your LinkedIn account is never at risk; our post on LinkedIn auto-apply tools explains why that matters. Second, it sends one application per posting and uses your real resume, and on the Sniper plan you can upload up to 100 resumes so it picks the best fit for each job. Third, most employers send a confirmation email when an application arrives, and those emails land in Scoutify Mail next to the application they belong to, which is the easiest way to check that a submission went through (our guide to application confirmation emails shows what each ATS sends).
Sniper costs $25 a week for up to 500 applications a week, Auto Apply costs $15 a week for up to 200 with one resume, and Alerts cost $5 a week if you only want to hear about new postings. Your first 25 applications are free, with no card. Sniper does not apply through LinkedIn Easy Apply, Indeed or other job boards, and on portals it does not support, such as iCIMS, Taleo and custom company forms, an autofill extension is still the right tool.
AIApply: Auto-Apply Across LinkedIn and Indeed
AIApply goes further than autofill, because it actually submits applications on your behalf. It applies to jobs on LinkedIn, Indeed and other major platforms and generates a tailored resume and cover letter for each submission, which is a fundamentally different approach from the extensions above. Its Premium toolkit costs about $29 a month, and applications are sold as credits on top, so a realistic bill for 100 applications a month is about $68 to $89.
- AIApply offers true automation, because it submits the forms instead of only filling them, which makes it the most hands-off option for people who want to maximize application volume.
- It creates a customized resume and cover letter for each application, built around keywords from the job description.
- It can submit dozens of applications a day, which helps candidates who are casting a wide net.
- Its automated submissions can include errors, irrelevant applications or poorly tailored content, so you lose some control over what is sent in your name.
- Some companies flag or filter automated applications, and a high volume of applications from one candidate can raise red flags with recruiters.
- Its subscription and credits together cost far more than a free autofill extension, and more than browsing Scoutify's company catalog, which is free, although AIApply serves a very different purpose from either.
- It is not an autofill tool, because you do not review and submit each application yourself, which means less control and possibly lower application quality.
Our AIApply review has the full test. For JobCopilot, LazyApply, Sprout and the rest, see the best auto-apply tools, compared, and if you are unsure whether automated applications help at all, does auto-apply work? answers that with the trade-offs included.
Our Recommendation
For most job seekers who want to submit every application themselves, Simplify is the best starting point. It is free, it supports the widest range of ATS platforms, and it gives you full control over every application. If your search focuses on large enterprises and established tech companies, SpeedyApply makes a strong complementfor Workday and Greenhouse forms specifically. Huntr, Teal and Careerflow are worth it when you also want their tracker or resume tools, and Jobright's extension is worth considering only if you already use and pay for the full Jobright platform.
If you would rather not spend your evenings on forms at all, I think the better setup is Sniper for the employers it supports plus a free autofill extension for the rest. Sniper applies to new postings on Workday, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters career sites minutes after they go up, and Simplify handles the iCIMS, Taleo and custom portals you still apply to by hand. AIApply is best reserved for situations where volume genuinely matters more than quality, and even then you should use it selectively.
Pairing Autofill with Job Discovery
Autofill tools solve the problem of applying faster, but they do not solve the problem of finding jobs sooner. If you want to keep doing the applying yourself, the most effective workflow pairs an autofill tool with a real-time alert service. Scoutify monitors 70,000+ company career pages and sends a push notification within minutes of a new posting; when an alert arrives, you click through to the application, and your autofill extension handles the form. Browsing Scoutify's full catalog of 70,000+ companies is free, alerts cost $5 a week, and Simplify stays free for unlimited autofill, so the whole find-and-apply workflow costs $5 a week.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best autofill extension for job applications?
Simplify is the best autofill extension for most job applications, because its core autofill is free and it supports more than 100 ATS platforms. SpeedyApply is a solid choice for Workday and Greenhouse, and Jobright, Huntr, Teal and Careerflow make sense when you also want their other tools. No single extension works perfectly on every ATS.
Do autofill extensions work on Workday?
Most autofill extensions struggle with Workday's multi-step forms and custom dropdowns, because each employer configures Workday differently. Simplify has the best Workday support among the broad extensions and SpeedyApply focuses on Workday specifically, but both still need manual corrections on complex applications. Scoutify's Sniper applies on Workday career sites for you, so you do not fill those forms at all.
Is job application autofill safe?
Job application autofill from a reputable extension such as Simplify or SpeedyApply is safe to use. SpeedyApply keeps your profile in your browser, while Simplify stores it on its servers so it can sync across devices, and every autofill extension needs permission to read and change the pages you visit in order to fill forms. Always check reviews and permissions before you install any Chrome extension, and review each form before you submit it.
Can autofill submit applications for me?
Autofill extensions do not submit applications for you; they fill in the form, and you review it and click submit. If you want the application sent for you, you need an auto-apply tool such as Scoutify's Sniper, which applies on Workday, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters career sites minutes after a matching job posts, with your first 25 applications free.
What does the SpeedyApply extension do?
SpeedyApply is a Chrome extension that autofills job applications on Workday and Greenhouse, stores your profile locally in your browser and logs each application you submit. It has a free tier, and Premium starts at $10 a month.
The Bottom Line
Autofill tools are one of the simplest, highest-impact additions to any job search. They save hours of repetitive data entry and help you submit applications faster. Simplify is the best option for most candidates because of its broad ATS coverage and free pricing, and SpeedyApply is a strong second tool for searches heavy on Workday and Greenhouse. Speed only matters if what you submit is strong, so make sure your resume is ready before you start sending applications; our guide on how to make your resume stand out covers the essentials.
Pair autofill with a real-time alert tool, and you have a workflow that turns a new posting into a submitted application in under five minutes. If you want those applications to go out without you, let Sniper apply minutes after a job posts on the career sites it supports, and keep your autofill extension for everything else.
