Rezi Review 2026: Good AI Builder, ATS Score Is Oversold

Rezi's AI bullet writer saved an hour per resume, but its ATS score mostly counts keywords. In 20 Rezi resumes tested against Teal, the callback gap was small.

Rezi is a good AI resume builder, and its ATS score is oversold. The AI bullet-point generator saved us about an hour per resume, but the ATS score mostly counts keywords, and when we tested 20 Rezi resumes against Teal versions, the callback gap was small. This Rezi review covers what the builder does well, what the score really measures, what it costs in 2026, and who should pay for it.

What Is Rezi?

Rezi was founded by Jacob Jacquet to make ATS-friendly resume writing accessible to everyone. It combines templates built to parse cleanly in applicant tracking systems with an AI writing assistant that drafts bullet points, rewrites existing ones and tailors your resume to a job description. It sits between free templates in Google Docs or Canva and paid writing services such as TopResume and Final Draft Resumes, because you get guidance while keeping control of the content.

What Our 20-Resume Test Showed

We built 20 resumes in Rezi and compared them with Teal versions. The AI bullet-point generator was the clear win, because it saved about an hour per resume. The callback gap between the Rezi and Teal versions was small, which suggests that the builder you choose matters less than what you put in it.

Key Features

ATS-friendly templates

Rezi's templates use standard headings, avoid tables and text boxes, and stick to fonts and layouts that tracking systems parse reliably. They prioritize readability over visual flair, which is the right trade-off for most jobs.

AI writing assistant

You give the AI your role, industry and responsibilities, and it produces bullet points you can accept, edit or regenerate. With enough context, it writes action-led bullets with numbers, such as "Reduced deployment time by 40% through CI/CD pipeline optimization," although it sometimes produces generic lines that need editing. You should check every number it writes, because the numbers must be true for you.

Job description tailoring and the ATS score

Paste a job description, and Rezi highlights which keywords from the posting appear in your resume and which are missing, much like Jobscan but inside the editor. Rezi also gives your resume an ATS score that updates as you edit. In our testing, that score mostly counted keywords, so a higher score did not mean a resume a recruiter would prefer, and I would treat it as a checklist rather than a prediction.

Cover letters and AI interview practice

Rezi also generates cover letters from your resume and a job description, and its plans include AI interview practice. The cover letters are reasonable first drafts that need personal details before you send them.

Rezi Pricing

As of September 30, 2026, Rezi's free plan includes one resume, one AI interview and three PDF downloads. Pro costs $29 a month and adds unlimited resumes, AI interviews and downloads, plus one expert resume review a month. Lifetime costs $149 once and gives permanent access to the Pro features. Paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The lifetime plan is the best value if you expect to update your resume every year or two, because it costs less than most single professional rewrites.

What We Like

  • The AI saves real time. The bullet generator saved us about an hour per resume, and you can still edit or reject everything.
  • The templates parse cleanly. You do not have to worry about tables or text boxes breaking in an ATS.
  • The price is fair. At $29 a month or $149 for life, it costs less than Jobscan Premium or a professional writer.
  • Keyword checks live in the editor. You can see gaps and fix them in one place.
  • It is strong for tech resumes. The AI handles common stacks, tools and frameworks well for engineering, data, product and design roles.

Where It Falls Short

  • The ATS score is oversold. It mostly counts keywords, and our callback results did not support treating it as a measure of quality.
  • The AI output needs editing. Accepting it uncritically leaves you with a resume that sounds like everyone else's.
  • The designs are plain. Creative roles may want a more distinctive format.
  • No human reviews the strategy on the free plan. Complex careers with pivots or gaps may need a person's advice.
  • The free plan is a trial in practice. One resume and three downloads are not enough for a real search.

How Rezi Fits With Applying Early

Rezi handles the resume, and it does not find jobs, track applications or apply. The workflow I recommend is to use Rezi to build a few strong versions of your resume for the kinds of roles you want, then let Sniper apply with the best-fit version. On the Sniper plan you can upload up to 100 resumes, and when a new matching job posts on a Workday, Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters career site, Sniper picks the best-fit resume and submits the employer's real application, usually within minutes. Your first 25 applications are free.

Who Should Use Rezi?

  • Tech professionals who are comfortable editing AI suggestions will get the most from it.
  • Budget-conscious job seekers who want ATS-friendly formatting without paying a writer will find it good value.
  • People who apply to several kinds of roles can use it to build tailored versions quickly.

It is not the best choice if you want a hands-off service, in which case a writing service fits better, or if your field judges resumes on design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Rezi worth it?

Rezi is worth it as an AI resume builder, because the bullet generator saved us about an hour per resume. Its ATS score is less useful than it looks, since it mostly counts keywords, and the callback gap against Teal versions in our test was small.

Is Rezi free?

Rezi has a free plan with one resume, one AI interview and three PDF downloads. Most people will need Pro or Lifetime for a real search.

How much does Rezi cost?

As of September 30, 2026, Rezi Pro costs $29 a month, and Rezi Lifetime costs $149 once. Paid plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Is Rezi's ATS score accurate?

Rezi's ATS score is a useful keyword checklist, but it mostly counts keywords. A high score did not translate into a large callback advantage in our test, so you should not chase it at the expense of clear writing.

The Bottom Line

Rezi is a strong, fairly priced AI resume builder, and the time it saves on bullet points is real. Treat the ATS score as a checklist, edit every AI suggestion, and add your own specific details and numbers. For a comparison with a dedicated scoring tool, read our Jobscan review.
